Ultherapy is a non-invasive and safe treatment to lift, firm, and tone. It is FDA cleared for the face, neck, and décolletage, but can be used on many other areas of the body with excellent results. At Life Studios, we have used Ulthera to successfully treat loose or lax skin on the abdomen, knees, elbows, and other areas, as well as the more traditional areas of the face and neck. Ultrasound energy targets fibroblasts, and stimulates collagen production. This produces a natural looking lift. Ultherapy is 100x more powerful than other treatments like Pelleve or Thermage, and is the only treatment FDA cleared for skin lifting and firming. There is 95% patient satisfaction reported one year after treatment.
Women and men in their 30s and 40s are excellent candidates to use Ultherapy for prevention. Some people say “the age you start is the age you will be.” Ulthera is designed as a one time treatment, with new more elastic collagen replacing older and weaker collagen for up to 6 months after treatment. Aging, however, will continue. Therefore many clients choose to treat annually. Some wonderful areas to treat yearly for prevention include above the knee, under the chin, the brow, and under the eye. Treatment areas must be clean shaven if hair is present.
Women and men over age 40 are good candidates for treatment with Ultherapy when they want to refresh their face and body without surgery. We have seen dramatic results in patients up to age 70. After age 70, individual results will vary, as the body becomes less able to produce new collagen.
Ultherapy does not replace the need for Botox and fillers. Rather, it prolongs the interval between which you need them. Over time, this helps with the time and cost of injections. When used as a complement to injections, it is best to have Ultherapy at least 3 months after fillers, and at least 2 weeks after Botox/Dysport. Ulthera is also used to prolong the effects of a facelift.
Many people have heard that Ultherapy can be painful. For some, this is true. At a free consultation, we offer lines of Ulthera so that you can experience the sensation, and decide if you would like to have one of our physicians prescribe medication to make the experience more comfortable. Clients receiving medication for procedures are kindly requested to have a driver that day.
Why come to Life Studios Medical Group for Ulthera? Our procedures are performed by a staff with a collective 95 years of ultrasound experience. Our Ulthera specialists are all certified ultrasound technicians, and perform Ultherapy under the on-site supervision of our physicians. We were not trained at a weekend seminar. Our expertise in visualization of the SMAS (muscular) layer leads to exceptional results!
